Mobility is vital for society's functioning. Cities face heavy traffic alongside new options like rental bikes and e-scooters, all competing for space. Under time pressure, many choose easy parking, often blocking disabled spaces—whether thoughtlessly or intentionally. E-scooters and bikes also obstruct footpaths, hindering people with disabilities. Raising awareness without being patronizing is crucial, as parking in disabled spaces is a deliberate act that ignores those who depend on them.

Process

The design of the motifs and campaign slogans aims to raise awareness about avoiding parking in disabled spaces and respecting the needs of people with disabilities. For this reason, all designs and motifs take a direct approach without being personally offensive. The goal is to make potential offenders think twice and reduce future violations.

The modern graphic style is particularly well-suited for animated spots on YouTube and Instagram, ensuring an engaging structure. Additionally, the new style allows for the expansion to include further motifs. For example, the issue of parking in front of lowered curbs could also be addressed.

In addition, adhesive window stickers or cards (CarCards) were produced, which are then distributed to people with disabilities via disability associations. They then have the opportunity to inform Falschparker directly of their offense and the resulting disability.
